Facilities

The Rochester Canoe Club is located right on Irondequoit Bay. Our club house has a full kitchen, both men's and women's locker rooms, storage for the sails of the boats that are stored at the club, as well as a bunch of tables that you can eat at inside the club house.

The club also has 2 sandy beaches. The northern beach is used to launch sunfish, JY-15's and the opti-prams. The southern beach is used mostly to swim off of. We also have 2 temporary docks for boats to tie up at. We also have a level picnic area on the water. For the littler kids we have a fenced in area with a sandbox, and a few other toys.

All the boats at The Canoe Club are dry-sailed, or kept on shore. The Thistles are kept on their trailers next to their hoist. The JY 15's sit on the Dolley's close to the beach for a quick launch. The sunfish and Optimists are kept upside down on racks, right next to the beach as well.

We have 4 power boats, or crash boats stored at the club. These boats are used only to help run the Sunday races. Three of the boats are Boston Whalers, that assist a boat if it needs help, and the fourth boat is a pontoon boat that we use for a race committee boat. All of the "crash boats" are stored on lifts to keep them out of the water.
